2016 Chevrolet Infotainment System Pre-Loaded with Android, Apple Interfaces
This year, 14 new Chevrolet models will offer Android Auto and CarPlay, along with Apple interfaces that enhance the infotainment and driving experience of owning a 2016 Chevy. The first of these upgraded cars will be the Chevy Cruze, which is rolling out on June 24th, to be joined by the Volt, Silverado, Colorado, Camaro, Malibu, and Corvette in sporting the new electronics suite.
So why is this a big deal? Well, the vast amount of consumer complaints used to focus on the car’s interface and menu options. Now Chevy is among the very first to give drivers a system that works just like the smartphone they already have in their hand. The new 2016 Chevrolet infotainment system will be pre-loaded with software that recognizes a phone’s brand and changes the in-dash touchscreen to feature the same interface as the native operating system of the phone; be it Apple or Android.
The features included in these infotainment interfaces are too many to include here, but are definitely worth a trip into Bill Walsh Streator where you can see for yourself why your next new car ought to be a Chevy.
