Chevrolet Debuts Colorado Chassis Cab Midsize Truck
Recently unveiled at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis early March, Chevrolet introduced a new Colorado chassis cab mid-size truck trim package, which is ideal for commercial use, and will be available to the market mid-April.
Sans cargo box, the Work Truck, which comes equipped with two-wheel-drive extended-cab powered by a 3.6-liter 305-hp V6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, allows businesses the ability to install service bodies or flatbeds.
This box-delete option has a 2,000-lb payload capacity rating, and a 6,000-lb gross vehicle weight rating. This new Colorado offering gives consumers the choice to delete the rear-seat in order to increase in-cab storage, while coming equipped with mounted temporary taillights and a full-size spare tire.
“The Colorado was developed with the upfitter industry in mind,” said Mike Jones, product manager for mid-pickups, CNG and LPG. “Input from body manufacturers and fleet owners helped us make the most of the optional fuel filler mounting location to suit their unique needs.”
