Streator Fall Events: Things to Do in the Area
Fall is in the air, which means the leaves will soon change and the air will get colder. Fall also brings with it several community events and activities, some of which we here at Bill Walsh Streator have collected in this post. From art events to movie night, there’s something for virtually everyone in Streator during the fall.
With a new Chevy Equinox or GMC Sierra 1500, you can easily explore the Streator, Illinois, area this fall. One upcoming event that’s great for all ages is the Operation Snowball 5K Color Run. Held Sept. 17 at 10 a.m., this event will be held at Streator High School. Operation Snowball is a group that encourages students to choose healthy choices.
Next, check out the Streator RC Flyers Fall Scramble Warbirds & Classics. This remote-control enthusiast event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 at the Streator R/C Flying field in Kangley. There will even be camping offered onsite for flyers.
For the Lego fan in your household, check out the Lego Club. This new event is a weekly meeting from 4 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Streator Public Library. It’s free to the public, and you don’t even need a library card. For those five and up, this is both a fun and relaxing event.
See “Sister Act” performed at the Engle Lane Theatre in October. Starting Sunday, Oct. 15, you can see this feel-good musical live, with direction by Nik Frig. Based on the 1992 film of the same name, this musical has smash hits that are bound to leave you singing when you leave your seat.
Finally, attend yoga this fall at the Balanced Spirit Wellness Center. Held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m., you can visit for just $6 or you can purchase a monthly membership. These are just some of the many Streator fall events scheduled.
