LEGO Batmobile from Chevrolet Unveiled in Detroit
What weighs 1,695.5 pounds and has a total of 17 colors on it? The LEGO Batmobile from Chevrolet, of course. Last month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Chevrolet unveiled this life-size LEGO creation in celebration of The LEGO Batman Movie that comes out this month.
The amazing LEGO vehicle was designed and created at the LEGO Model Shop in Enfield, Connecticut. It took the LEGO Master Builders 222 hours to design it and 1,833 hours to put it together. In total, there are 344,187 LEGO bricks in the Batmobile. It measures 17 feet long, nearly 7 feet high, and 9.25 feet wide.
As part of its partnership with Warner Bros., Chevrolet even created a website specifically for the LEGO Batmobile. Here, you can see the Batmobile comes in 13 different variations of black. The fun new vehicle is powered by a mind-blowing 60.2-liter V100 engine that makes 20,000 horsepower. We can’t even imagine what kind of mileage it gets.
You can have all of this for a mere $48 million. Just kidding. It’s not actually for sale since it’s not a real vehicle, but we wish it was! Are you planning to see The LEGO Batman Movie this month?
